Jose Manuel "Pepe" Reina's Spanish Wedding
June 2006 --As if
in a fairy tale,a horse-drawn carriage bore Yolanda Ruiz through
the streets of Cordoba, Spain in the early evening hours of
May 19, 2006, the steady clip of the steed's hooves heralding
her imminent arrival at La Iglesia de San Pablo, where Liverpool
goalkeeper Jose Manuel "Pepe" Reina waited at the
altar to make her his wife.
Approximately 400
guests, including soccer stars Fernando Morientes and Xabi Alonso,
were among the witnesses who respectfully stood as the bride
made her entrance in a gown created by designer Juana Martin,
paired with delicate drop earrings and a white lace mantilla,
which was demurely draped over her brunette tresses.
