David Coulthard Proposes to Karen Minier
June 2006 --F1 racer
David Coulthard has stood upon the winner's podium numerous
times during his illustrious career, but on June 2, 2006 the
Scottish racing champ won the most precious prize of all when
TV reporter Karen Minier accepted his proposal of marriage.
His "need for speed" as much a driving force off the
race track as on, Britain's highest-scoring driver asked Ms.
Minier to be his bride following a short, six-month romance.
The couple has not
announced a wedding date.
Fun fact:
F1 fans can gain insight into the glamorous world of race car
driving at the David Coulthard Museum, located in the driver's
hometown of Twynholm, Scotland. Open seven days a week, the
museum houses a wealth of memorabilia chronicling the speed
demon's years on the track. The venue is also available for
private functions.
