Dwayne
"Dog" Chapman's Hawaii Wedding
May 2006-- A veil
of sorrow hung heavily over the wedding day of Dwayne "Dog"
Chapman and Beth Smith due to the untimely death of the groom's
daughter the day before in an automobile accident, but their
shared grief only strengthened the bond which had held the two
together over the past 16 years. To honor the memory of their
lost loved one, the couple went ahead with their scheduled nuptials
on May 20, 2006.
Arriving in a canoe
for the sunset ceremony on the big island of Hawaii's Hilton
Waikoloa Village, the star of A&E's "Dog The Bounty
Hunter" was clad in a pair of white jeans and a white leather
vest, which he paired with Native American jewelry out of respect
for his forebearers. The bride chose an ivory lace creation
by L.A.-based designer Eduardo Lucero.
Before leaving the
festivities, guests received dog tags to commemorate the day,
each one emblazoned with the date and the words "Dog and
Beth-- Captured."
Although happy to
be united in matrimony, the couple mourn their loss and may
reschedule their planned honeymoon excursion to Fiji.
