April 2006 -- Donning
a long white dress offset with a cream-colored belt, actress
Catalina Sandino Moreno, who turned in an Oscar-nominated performance
in the highly acclaimed drama "Maria Full of Grace,"
wed lighting technician David Michael Ewell in an intimate civil
ceremony in Cartagena de Indies, Colombia on April 15, 2006.
Following the nuptials,
the newlyweds joined family and friends, who wore white guayaberas
for the occasion, as they celebrated the couple's union on the
flower-bedecked terrace of The Hotel Sofitel Santa Clara. Serving
in the 17th century as a convent and hospital, the facility
has been transformed into a 162-room luxury retreat.
