Houghton, Samuel Preston Engaged
April 2006 --A cluster
of round diamonds on a dainty band of gold glittered in the
lights of The Dorchester Hotel in London on April 11, 2006 as
Chantelle Houghton, the winner of "Celebrity Big Brother",
announced that on the previous night she had accepted the proposal
of Samuel Preston, the frontman for the Brit pop band The Ordinary
Boys.
The engagement ring,
an heirloom belonging to the prospective groom's mother, was
presented to the previously unknown model in Brighton, England
after a nine-week romance which grew in front of the eyes of
millions of television viewers.
A wedding date has
not been set, although the couple hope to wed some time in 2006.
