Flores and Pedro Lazaga Celebrate Wedding in Spain
April 2006 -- A
romance born in 2001 on the set of the Academy Award-winning
Pedro Almodovar drama "Habla Con Ella" culminated
in an exchange of vows on April 8, 2006 between actress/singer
Rosario Flores and Pedro Lazaga, first assistant director on
the period epic "Kingdom of Heaven," starring Orlando
Bloom.
Only a small band
of people, including the couple's three-month-old son Pedro
Antonio, looked on as the Grammy Award-winning recording artist,
wearing a flower print frock, pledged her love. This spur of
the moment ceremony took place in Caños de Meca, a small
village near Cadiz, Spain. The location holds happy memories
for the bride of summer vacations spent there with her mother,
the revered Spanish star Lola Flores.
