Pittman's Australian Wedding
March 2006 --According
to superstition, the rain which fell on 2006 Commonwealth Games
gold medalist Jana Pittman's wedding day brought good luck for
her future with the man she loves, coach Chris Rawlinson. The
couple pledged their devotion on the afternoon of March 31,
2006 during an outdoor ceremony held in the sunken garden at
Morning Star Estate on Mornington Peninsula in Australia. (The
coveted wedding venue also posseses a 19th century chapel, a
theater, the Chardonnay Room and a ballroom for ceremonies and
receptions.)
Four bridesmaids
in burgundy dresses walked down the aisle before the bride made
her entrance in a white silk gown, her tulle veil dancing in
the breeze.
Following a reception,
the newlyweds embarked on a honeymoon in New Zealand.
