Bermuda's Cambridge Beaches Adding New Pool Suites, Waterfall Pool

March 2006 -- Bermuda's Cambridge Beaches, known for its dreamy cottages, will soon offer another good reason to plan a romantic getaway at this resort: a $2.5 million dollar pool makeover that will be the first of its kind in Bermuda. The new pool will feature two different levels, varying depths, vanishing edges and waterfall features and is scheduled for completion May 1, 2006.

The design of the pool brings a fresh level of sophistication and practicality to the property, as it aims to integrate the beach with the pool areas and the Tamarisk terrace above. The various levels of the terraces are deliberately set out to frame the waters of Mangrove Bay, which becomes a stage for the theatre of boats and life just beyond Cambridge Beaches.  The pool itself will offer many opportunities for different activities such as swimming laps or enjoying the vanishing edge and waterfall features. Relaxing poolside also provides options with two pool pavilions, one of which is cantilevered over the water. Another exciting feature of the pool area is a casual restaurant, which will serve a fusion of different cuisines, and a hip new bar that will be open during the day.

“The new pool and surrounding terraces and entertainment areas at Cambridge Beaches were designed specifically to celebrate the gentleness of Bermuda and enhance the visual and culinary experience for our guests while still promoting relaxation, rejuvenation and peace,” says Michael Winfield, President and CEO of Cambridge Beaches. “There will be no parallel to it in all of Bermuda.”

More news for the 2006 season at Cambridge Beaches is outlined below:

·     Family Update – If you're combining a romantic getaway and a family vacation, Cambridge Beaches will welcome families with children five and older in 2006. For the first time ever, family travel and family reunion packages will be available year-round.

Families will enjoy extra value when traveling together, including a 25 percent discount on any second room booked.  In addition, the first child - up to age 17 - will stay in room with parents and eat for free. Families can also take advantage of new premium experiences designed to create excitement for youth as well as promote a sense of togetherness, including a private boating trip, kayak safaris around the clear waters of the property and private sunset sails. In addition, special family activities will be offered at Easter and Christmas

·     New Pool Suites – The debut of North Rock, Cambridge Beaches’ first private pool suite last May, was so successful the property is adding two more suites.  Both will feature infinity-edge plunge pools, state-of-the-art sound systems, luxurious bathrooms, outdoor showers and stunning ocean views.  The pool suites are scheduled for completion on May 1.

·     Private Island Dining and The Proposal Concierge.  It's back by popular demand and you won’t find these features anywhere in Bermuda but Cambridge Beaches. Dine out on your own private island or have a one-on-one consultation with the resident romance expert who can help create the perfect proposal or other memorable occasions for lovers.
