One Champion Fernando Alonso Engaged
March 2006 -- According
to reports in the Spanish press, Formula One champion Fernando
Alonso will soon be racing toward the altar with his love of
the past three months Raquel del Rosario, the lead singer of
the pop/rock group El Sueño de Morfeo.
To symbolize their
love, in mid-February 2006 the couple presented each other with
white gold bands in the presence of their families as they dined
at El Llager de Titi restaurant in Siero, Spain.
While an official
wedding date has not been announced, reports are circulating
that the pair will be united in matrimony in October 2006.
