Jessica McClure Celebrates Texas Wedding

January 2006 -- While today the West Texas city of Midland is recognized as the hometown of President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, for those who huddled around their TV sets in October 1987 as the rescue of a little girl trapped down a well unfolded, Midland will always be remembered for "Baby Jessica."

Today a student at Midland University, Jessica McClure wed the love of her life, Daniel Morales, on January 28, 2006 in an afternoon ceremony conducted at a local Church of Christ, which was festooned with white tulle for the joyous event.

In the days following the nuptials, Jessica will be writing thank you notes to family and friends who purchased wedding gifts from the couple's Wal-Mart registry, the list of useful household items ranging from an oven mitt to a beechwood bread box.
