Oveson, Kenneth Johnson Celebrate Wedding in Maui
January 2006 --
Clutching a bouquet composed of calla lilies, irises and white
roses, Kathleen Oveson followed a small troupe of Hawaiian dancers
on to a Maui beach where her love Kenneth Johnson, one of the
stars of "The Shield" on FX, waited to make her his
bride. Kathleen's white wedding gown from Les Habitudes provided
an ethereal element to the occasion. The chiffon fabric fluttered
in the evening breeze much like the wings of the two white doves
which the newlyweds released upon being pronounced husband and
wife.
The couple embraced
the traditions of the land during their late December 2005 ceremony,
rubbing noses and exchanging leis before the groom slipped a
white gold wedding band embellished with 3.5 carats of diamonds
on to Kathleen's finger.
