The final night of a month-long New Zealand vacation turned
into the dawn of a new life for Australian Idol winner Ricki-Lee
Coulter as a white gold, princess cut square diamond engagement
ring was slipped on to her finger by her love of the past four
years, Jamie Babbington.
The prospective
groom asked for the singer's hand in marriage in mid-January
in the presence of his extended family and her mother and sister.
Plans for a spring
2007 wedding are now underway.
