Rugby Star Clyde Rathbone Weds in South Africa

December 2005 -- Although today rugby star Clyde Rathbone lives in Canberra, Australia as a member of the ACT Brumbies team, his heart has never strayed far from his homeland of South Africa, and on December 10, 2005 he returned with his love of three years, fellow South African Carrie-Ann Leeson, to exchange vows in the city that nurtured his development from a child to a man.

One hundred and thirty guests gathered together at Chantecler Hotel, a cozy retreat in Durban filled with country comforts, to bear witness as the athlete, who looked dapper in a dark blue pin striped suit, and his bride, who held a bouquet of light purple roses as she walked down the aisle in a white, strapless gown and diaphanous veil, were joined in matrimony.
