Star Weds in Wales
December 2005 --
Celebrating the 14th anniversary of their first date, 28-year-old
Welsh rugby star Shane Williams wed his childhood sweetheart,
Gail Lacey, on the morning of December 22, 2005 inside Twyn
Church in Garnant, the town where both the bride and groom grew
up.
Going against tradition,
it was the groom who donned white for the nuptials, his tuxedo
embellished with a single red rose boutonniere which harmonized
with the bride's strapless, garnet-colored gown and matching
wrap. A cascading bouquet of white roses and a dainty tiara
completed Gail's dramatic look.
