Matt Welsh Engaged
December 2005 --
After a three year courtship, Australian Olympic swimmer Matt
Welsh, the recipient of both silver and bronze medals at the
2000 Sydney games, has taken the plunge and asked Lauren Newton
to be his bride.
While a wedding
date has not been announced, the couple will celebrate their
happy news at an engagement party held in the prospective groom's
hometown of Melbourne on December 17, 2005.
