Brooks, Trisha Yearwood Wed in Oklahoma

Country music icon Garth Brooks, whose voice mingled with his
future bride back in 1991 on the hit single "Like We Never
Had A Broken Heart," joined his heart and soul with singer
Trisha Yearwood on December 10, 2005.
While a crowd of
7,000 at Buck Owen's Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, California
witnessed the prospective groom kneel down and ask for the hand
of his long time friend and frequent musical collaborator in
May of 2005, when it came time to say "I do" only
a few select family and friends were present as the couple wed
in the comfort and seclusion of their new Claremore, Oklahoma
home.
While it was business
as usual for the bride the next day, her wedding present from
the goom-- a yacht christened The Dorchester-- offers the promise
of a romantic honeymoon getaway in the future.
