Athina
Onassis Weds in Brazil
December 2005 --
A 15-foot veil composed of Chantilly lace trailed behind billionairess
Athina Roussel Onassis as she walked down the aisle in a strapless,
$70,000 Valentino ivory silk gown toward her love of the past
four years, Olympic equestrian Alvaro Alfonso de Miranda.
Approximately 750
guests witnessed the one-hour ecumenical ceremony, which took
place on December 3, 2005 on the grounds of the Maria Luiza
and Oscar Americano Foundation, an art museum in Sao Paulo,
Brazil.
At the conclusion
of the nuptials, attendees dined on French delicacies and raised
their glasses, filled with Veuve Cliquot champagne, in toasts
to the happy couple.
