Marilyn Manson & Dita Von Teese Wedding

Who: shock rocker Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner) and burlesque performer Dita Von Teese (Heather Sweet)

When : December 3, 2005

Where: The couple were bound together for eternity at Castle Gurteen in County Tipperary, Ireland.

Pre-wedding Festivities: The day prior to the nuptials guests raised their glasses in a toast to their friends inside a plant-laden conservatory at the Kilshane House, a Regency era masterpiece situated on 320 sylvan acres.

The Ceremony: In a ceremony conducted by director Alejandro Jodorowsky, whose theatrical vision is as cutting edge as that of the bride and groom, 60 guests (including Lisa Marie Presley) watched as Marilyn slipped a wedding band from William Harold Jewelers on to Dita's finger, which was already adorned with a 7-carat round-cut diamond engagement ring.

As the couple professed their devotion in self-penned vows, the bride gifted her love with a platinum band with an onyx inlay from artist Dana Schneider, who created the jewelry seen in the feature films "Daredevil," 'Matrix Reloaded," and the Johnny Depp thriller "From Hell."

The Dress: The petticoats of Dita's deep purple silk taffeta Vivienne Westwood gown rustled as she walked down the aisle in shoes fashioned by Paris-based designer Christian Louboutin. Cinching in her famous 16-inch wasp waist, Dita wore a corset constructed by Mr. Pearl, who also designed the intimate undergarment worn by Victoria "Posh Spice" Adams for her wedding to David Beckham at Luttrellstown Castle in 1999. A tri-corner hat by milliner Stephen Jones completed the ensemble's darkly romantic look.

In harmony with the bride, the groom also donned a chapeau by Stephen Jones, the perfect accent for his black silk taffeta tuxedo edged in velvet from designer John Galliano.

The Reception: Limerick-based caterers Masterchefs Munster provided the evening's repast, which is rumored to have consisted of such delicacies as roasted pig, lobster and Dublin Bay prawns.
