Sir David Jason Weds in London

November 2005 -- Esteemed British actor Sir David Jason, best known for his role in the long-running comedy hit "Only Fools and Horses," has always been a knight in shining armor in the eyes of his long time love Gill Hinchcliffe. One day after their November 30, 2005 wedding the thespian also became a knight in the eyes of the British Empire as Queen Elizabeth bestowed the honor during a ceremony held at Buckingham Palace, where the couple announced their happy news to the press.

The couple's young daughter Sophie Mae had acted as bridesmaid at the intimate civil ceremony as 12 close relatives and friends gathered at the Dorchester Hotel in London to witness the groom slip a platinum and diamond wedding band on to his loved one's finger. For the event, the bride had donned a gold lace dress embellished with beadwork.
