bride and groom were united in matrimony at the Mar-A-Lago estate
in Palm Beach, Florida.
The Ceremony:
A year and a day after the business tycoon's heir proposed on
bended knee to his lady love at Bailey Banks & Biddle inside
the Short Hills Mall in Short Hills, New Jersey, the couple
stood poolside as Judge Maryanne Trump Barry, the groom's aunt,
pronounced them husband and wife.
Three hundred and
seventy guests, including 80's TV icon Joan Collins and TV reality
star/model Brittny Gastineau, bore witness as the groom recited
self-penned vows before placing a wedding band on his bride's
finger next to her $100,000 platinum engagement ring, which
contains a 4-carat, emerald cut diamond flanked by trapazoid
diamonds.
The Dress:
Guided by the bride's ideas, designer Reem
Acra, who concocted Star
Jones' dream dress for her New York society wedding, created
a curve-conscious white gown accented with a trumpet train and
ample decolletage to display the model's sleek physique.
Befitting a member
of American royalty, Vanessa donned a pearl and diamond studded
tiara, to which a diaphanous veil was attached For her bridesmaids,
Vanessa turned to designer to the stars Vera
Wang, who fashioned V-necked, silver satin silhouettes for
the group of nine young ladies.
The Reception:
While the lovebirds had dined on roasted pig at a rehearsal
dinner luau the day before, a lavish banquet was in oder at
the reception, which was held in Mar-A-Lago's Versailles-inspired
ballroom.
As guests sampled
filet mignon and a red rose covered cake created by Sylvia Weinstock
at tables adorned with floral centerpieces by Stone Kelly, the
newlyweds took to the dance floor, where they swayed beneath
the sparkle of 17 chandeliers to the Bryan Adam's ballad "Heaven."
The Honeymoon:
The newlyweds chose Fiji and Mexico to spend their first
weeks as Mr. and Mrs. Trump Jr.
