Film fans who flock to the premiere of Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby can now step into the world created by F. Scott Fitzgerald at a boutique retreat in Manhattan where literary lovebirds embark on new chapters in their own love stories.
A truly ‘novel’ idea, The Library Hotel literally wrote the book on classic getaways, with each of its 60 rooms decorated with a collection of books and art which create a theme corresponding to one of 10 categories in the Dewey Decimal system.
Pairs with a passion for page turners can now book the Great Gatsby package, which includes:
- Two cocktails (per suite) at Bookmarks Lounge atop the hotel
- Two tickets to a night of jazz at the Jazz Standard (located at 116 E. 27th Street between Park and Lex)
- A literary tote bag featuring the cover of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel
- A soft cover copy of “The Great Gatsby”
Guests can also drink a toast to their stay at The Library Hotel at Bookmarks Lounge with a cocktail named after The Great Gatsby. Although not on the menu, those in the know know to simply ask for the beverage, which features Jack Daniels, Amaretto, lime juice and bitters and is garnished with both an orange and a cherry.
This package is available for stays from May 10 through September 2, with rates starting at $469 per night (a two-night minimum is required). This package is exclusive of tax and gratuity and is subject to availability.
