He’s drawn music-loving lovebirds together for decades with his guitar riffs, and now the art work and artifacts of Ron Wood paint a portrait of the romance of rock and roll’s yesterdays.
Through November 9, 2012 fans of The Rolling Stones, Faces, The Birds and The Jeff Beck Group have a golden opportunity to celebrate the legendary guitarist’s golden anniversary in the musical genre at Ron Wood: A Major Retrospective of 50 Years of Rock and Roll, an exhibition at the Symbolic London pup-up showroom.
Famous figures captured on canvas by the entertainment icon, combined with guitars decorated by the rock god, handwritten lyrics and original set lists will chronicle Wood’s days on stage.
Wood stated: “My two passions in life are music and art, I can’t imagine one without the other. Through The Stones, The Birds, Faces and Jeff Beck Group I’ve been creating art, collecting objects, pictures and memories that together provide an encounter with the people who influence me, the people I love and my own life experiences.”
