Adding a dash of Tinseltown glamour with a soupcon of regal pomp and circumstance, the Boxwood Cafe at The London West Hollywood hotel has created the perfect recipe for celebrating the upcoming wedding ceremony of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Each day in April from 3 – 5 pm, the eatery at the hotel (located at 1020 N. San Vicente Blvd. in West Hollywood) is serving an afternoon royal tea. The service includes a selection of teas and fine cut finger sandwiches (Black Brioche, Smoked Salmon and Cucumber, Hummus with Crisp Shallot, Curried Chicken with Golden Raisins, and Roast Beef – Red Onion Marmalade), Freshly Baked, Traditional British Scones, and a virtual bouquet of Princely Pastries with such monarchical monikers as Crown Royal English Trifle, Candied Ginger Chiffon Wedding Cake, Westminster Abbey Chocolate Mousse, and Blue Sapphire Macarons. Romantics reveling in the royal repast can end their meal with a champagne toast.
Prices for the afternoon royal tea:
Traditional Afternoon Tea: $28/person
Champagne Afternoon Tea: $40/person
Specialty Cocktails: $13-$30
