Barbuda Honors Princess Diana

Her footprints have long since been carried away by the tide, but the sands of time will forever hold the impression of Princess Diana’s visits to the island of Barbuda.

In recognition of the late Princess of Wales’ 50th birthday, on July 1, 2011 The Barbuda Council will officially rename the shores alongside the former K-Club Hotel Princess Diana Beach in respectful memory of the people’s princess, who was welcomed to the Caribbean paradise on at least four occasions.

The island of Barbuda hope to continue to honor Diana’s humanitarian spirit with a charity and commemorative stamp.
