If you didn’t receive an invitation to the I do’s of Prince William and Kate Middleton, you can still celebrate the ceremony in style in The Drawing Room at New York Palace.
Commencing with coffee and tea service at 5:30 am on April 29, 2011, Anglophiles can imagine themselves inside Westminster Abbey as they drink in an atmosphere complete with motifs from 15th century Italian cathedrals and carved wood paneling while enjoying a traditional English breakfast. At 6 am, scones with marmalade, scrambled eggs with Devonshire cream and breakfast bangers will offer a taste of the good life as the wedding of the royal romantics begin.
Seated at tables topped with personalized place cards, wedding watchers can mull over an “In Honour Of” printed menu before viewing the exchange of vows on flat-screen TVs. If the early hour brings the arrival of the sandman, pillows and blankets will be available during the diners’ breakfast stay, and to remember the romance of the special day, patrons will be presented with keepsake Palace slippers.
The event is priced at $150 per person.
