If the recent romance Letters to Juliet stirred your desire for a destination getaway to the land made legendary by Shakespeare’s star-crossed soul mates, TourCrafters has crafted packages filled with visions of Verona.
The most cost-conscious package, Forever Young– starting at $799 in November and December and $929 in September and October– offers round-trip air from New York to Verona, where guests spend a three-night stay at Residence Antico San Zeno, followed by three nights’ accommodation at Villa Aurea in Cortona. The Italian Idyll package– which costs from $985 in November and December and from $1,270 in September and October– provides plane tickets from New York and a seven day car rental for a trip which includes a three-night stay at Residence Antico San Zeno in Verona and three nights’ accommodation at the 5-star Borgo Il Melone in Cortona.
The most extravagant travel experience is the Rekindle Romance package ($1,609 in November and December, $2,185 in September and October,) which covers air, breakfast and provides the elegance of an automatic Mercedes rental for sightseeing sojourns. Travelers will unpack their luggage for a three-night stay at the Hotel Due Torri in Verona, followed by three nights at Villa Olmi Resort in Bagno a Ripoli on the outskirts of Florence.
Air fare add-ons are $14 for Boston, $108 for Chicago and Miami and $223 for Los Angeles. Rates are slightly higher in November and December. All prices quoted are per person, double occupancy, are subject to availability and do not include the fuel surcharge or airport taxes of approximately $432 because they are subject to change.
