In May 2007, Henry Hager proposed to Jenna Bush atop Maine’s Cadillac Mountain–the first spot in the continental US to see the sunrise.

But if you’d like to propose at the very first spot in the US that sees the day’s sunrise, you’ll have to head a lot further south.

Point Udall, located on the far eastern end of the island of St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands, sees the day’s first rays and makes the perfect spot for popping the question. Read about the location in “America’s First Sunrise” here on Lovetripper.
