11302007: Two Caribbean Valentine’s Day Packages for Galley Bay and Palm Island

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: if you’re considering a Valentine’s getaway, it’s not too early to start making those plans! This holds doubly true if your getaway is in the Caribbean, which is at its peak of high season during Valentine’s so there’s a lot of demand for hotels and for air to the islands.

We’ve just received word of two new Valentine’s packages at Elite Island Resorts. The specially-priced, romance-focused programs are exclusively available at its two upscale adults-only, Caribbean resorts: Galley Bay and Palm Island. Both resorts are known for their idyllic seclusion and Caribbean charm.

The Packages: “Romance & Privacy” packages are available from February 1-29, 2008, and include:

— A five-night all-inclusive stay at Galley Bay, priced at $1,999 per person, and features a romantic champagne sunset cruise; an evening of in-room privacy gift basket with candles, rose petals and aromatic bath oils; two massages (one each) with trained masseuse; and two matching Galley Bay bath robes.

— A seven-night, all-inclusive stay at Palm Island, priced at $2,688 per person, and features a Beachfront Room; a picnic lunch with wine on a private beach; a romantic champagne sunset cruise; a candle lit dinner served on the beach or in room; and two matching Palm Island bath robes, as well as inter-island flights between Barbados and Union.

These all-inclusive rates are per person, double occupancy, with all meals, beverages, non motorized water sports, hotel taxes and service charges included.

The Resorts: Located on the west coast of Antigua, Galley Bay has just 96 guest cottages and suites tucked into forty acres of tropical gardens and beachfront. On Palm Island, a secluded 135-acre private-island hideaway in the Grenadines, 44 guest lodgings harmonize with nature.

“With their secluded settings, natural beauty, friendly service and low- key activities, these resorts seem custom-created for romance,” says Steven E. Heydt, Elite Island Resorts president. “All-inclusive pricing adds to the feeling of being on a fantasy island; once there, guests can put their wallets away and enjoy romantic experiences such as a picnic on a private beach, as well as meals, wine, top-shelf liquor, a wide array of water sports and more.”
