Do We Need Our Marriage License for a Vow Renewal?

Today's question comes from close to home: it's one we asked ourselves! We're soon going to going to Las Vegas and we want to have a vow renewal while we're in town. Do we need to prove we're already married?

Possibly. Different wedding chapels have different rules and some do require that you show your original marriage license as proof that you are married to each other. Other chapels have forms on hand that you can fill out with all the information about your original wedding (when, where it took place.)

To be on the safe side, we're going to bring along our marriage license on the trip. (You might not know it, but Clark County, Nevada won't issue marriage licenses to couples that are already married to each other!)
