Can I Stick To My Diet While Traveling? I've worked so hard to get into shape for my wedding (to squeeze into my dress!) How can I keep from blowing all my work on my honeymoon? You're
in luck -- just about every romantic resort these days
has a fitness center (often an ultra luxurious one) plus
you'll find plenty of other ways to stay active: swims,
long beach walks, hikes, you name it.
When it comes time to meals, many restaurants around the world offer special dishes for those with an eye on the waistline. Remember, though, to try all the exotic foods that make your destination unique. Everything in moderation and you'll be just fine. For
us, the biggest challenge diet-wise is the day(s) of air
travel. Airline food (when there is some) ranges from
starchy to starchier, and is interspersed with long periods
of inactivity. Pack your own snacks and drink lots of
water to arrive feeling energetic. On your return home,
ask your resort if you can order a box of healthy snacks
that will transport well.
