Including Children in a Second Wedding

This is my second marriage for my fiance and I. How do I make this ceremony special for my/his children? They are ages 7 - 14.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! You can help make this ceremony special for your children by making them part of both the wedding ceremony and the celebrations afterwards. Many couples are now incorporating children into the wedding itself with an exchange of jewelry and vows between parents and children to signify this new step in their lives together.

And children are being included more and more often in the honeymoon celebrations as well. Some couples opt to take a private honeymoon first then return home for a family trip to celebrate your new lives together. Other couples choose to take the family on their honeymoon, a trend that Beaches Resorts are calling FamilyMoons.

For family-friendly honeymoons, look for resorts with something to interest everyone: teen activities for the teen, supervised activities for younger children, plenty of romance for the newlyweds. Some good choices to look at are Beaches Turks and Caicos, Beaches Negril (both with great waterparks), Starfish Trelawny (a good value for families), and Club Med Punta Cana, known for its innovative teen program.
