Romantic Hotels in Jerusalem

We have been married for 23 years. We want to celebrate our 25th anniversary in Israel with a Vow Renewal and second honeymoon in Jerusalem. We are Episcopalians, so we will have the Vow Renewal ceremony at Christ Church in Jerusalem, Israel. Where are some romantic places to stay in Jerusalem for our second honeymoon?

Congratulations on your upcoming 25th anniversary! Our choice for the most romantic hotel in Jerusalem would be the King David, a five star property whose guest list is like a who's who of Jerusalem visitors. The hotel is centrally located but a quiet retreat from the busy pace of the city. The hotel is known for its fine dining as well.

During our stay in Jerusalem, we stayed at the David Citadel Hotel (formerly the Jerusalem Hilton). The hotel is located just opposite the Old City walls so it was easy to take a stroll right from our hotel to some of the most historic parts of the city; our room had a nice view and marble bath. Newer and more modern than the King David, the hotel is popular with business travelers but it has plenty of romantic on-site activites as well including a large pool area (that's heated in the winter), spa, and health club.

If you have time, also consider a few days at one of the Dead Sea resorts. With their tall palms and pampering spa treatments, these resorts are very romantic and a good change of pace from the city. Resorts like Le Meridien Dead Sea are a romantic oasis just a drive away from Jerusalem.
