Romantic Suggestions in the Heartland

Hello - I don't know if you folks can help me or not - but this is what I'm looking for and I think maybe I want too much:

I live in Omaha NE - I want to plan a romantic weekend getaway with my boyfriend- and I'd like to stay within the states of Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri or Minnesota.

I want a quiet - cabin maybe? near beautiful nature scenery. And a private hot tub that will accomodate someone who is 6'6 (he's very tall) and I know I'm pushing it - but if it had a small private swimming pool - Wow I'd be thrilled to death!!

Does such a place exist?? I've found places that I would have to drive 15-16 hours to get to - and that's just - too much time to spend driving.

If there is somewhere you can direct me to - I'd be eternally grateful!! Thank you very much.

In Missouri, check out Gaines Landing B&B in Branson (http://www.gaineslanding.com/). They have private hot tubs in the rooms and another romantic feature we like: private tables for breakfast. (Sometimes the group table that many B&Bs have is just a little too much “togetherness” at breakfast, especially on a romantic trip!)

In Minnesota, check out Gunflint Lodge (http://www.honeymoonminnesota.com/). We’ve had the pleasure of staying at this property, located on the lake, and it’s beautiful and romantic. Some cabins have large hot tubs and they have many romantic features including breakfast brought right to your cabin!

If you want to drive as far as Tennessee, Gatlinburg has lots of cabins, condos, and hotel rooms with private hot tubs (many heart-shaped!)

Private pools are much tougher to find outside the tropics (we’ve got lots of suggestions in the Caribbean if you decide you want to go there!)
