Cruise Weddings in Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica

I am going on a cruise that will be stopping in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Montego Bay. Can I get married on shore while the ship is in port?

Congratulations on your wedding plans! Yes, you can marry in any of those ports. The weddings will differ a little from port to port (in Mexico, ceremonies are required to be performed in Spanish and your wedding coordinator will act as your translator if you don't speak Spanish.)

If you are traveling on a Carnival cruise ship, check out their wedding page , call the Fun Ship" Wedding Department at (800) 933-4968 or email weddings@carnival.com.

You'll have your choice on island weddings (taking place off the ship) and shipboard weddings (not available in Cozumel):

Island Weddings: Carnival's port wedding package that includes round trip transfers to the wedding site, the ceremony with a non-denominational officiant, a tropical floral bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere, and island or traditional music, sparkling wine and keepsake champagne flutes, wedding cake and cake cutting service. The add-on wedding packages start at $995, depending on your options and on the port.

Shipboard Weddings: The shipboard weddings start at $750 and includes just about the same features; you can also add on a reception as casual or elaborate as you like for an additional fee.

If you're on a different cruise line (we guessed because Carnival sails to all the ports you mentioned), most other cruise lines also have on-staff wedding teams that can help you with all the details. The important thing is to start your plans in advance so you can work out all the details and bring the correct paperwork.

Best wishes!
