Wee
Kirk O' The Heather Wedding Chapel, Las Vegas Location:
Near downtown on the northern stretches of Las Vegas Boulevard What's
Unique About This Venue: Uniting lovers in the bonds
of matrimony since 1940, "The Little Chapel of Lucky Flowers"
is the oldest surviving wedding chapel in Las Vegas. As a landmark
of the city, the Wee Kirk O' The Heather has represented the wedding
capital of the world in the romantic comedies "Fools Rush
In," starring Salma Hayek and Matthew Perry and "Intolerable
Cruelty" with Catherine Zeta-Jones and George Clooney. Traditional
Wedding Packages: Each of the venue's five, flower-themed
wedding packages provides a bouquet of memories for couples, from
the cost-conscious Lavender package, which offers the expertise
of a wedding consultant, a wedding scroll, 30 photographic poses
as well as a CD containing negatives of 10 photos, wedding music,
and three silk roses for the bride to hold, to the extravagant
Orchid package, which offers such amenities as a unity candle
ceremony, non-alcoholic champagne poured into toasting flutes,
floral accessories for the bride, groom, and attendants, 70 photos
and the ceremony captured on video for posterity. Theme
Weddings: Months before his untimely departure from
this world, Elvis made arrangements to wed his long time love
Ginger Alden at The Wee Kirk O' The Heather. Although a last minute
change of heart brought an end to the plans, the King's spirit
of romance lives on inside the softly-lit venue, where brides
can be escorted down the aisle by an Elvis impersonator, who conducts
the ceremony and serenades the newly dubbed Mr. and Mrs. Two Elvis
wedding packages are available, both of which offer video presentations
of the nuptials, photography sessions and the services of a wedding
consultant. The
Chapel: The glow from a unity candle illuminates a
room adorned with gold wallpaper, yellow and white floral displays
and a pristine white altar and pews. For More Information:
