Chapel in the Clouds, Las Vegas If your head has been
in the clouds since the day you fell in love, reach for the stars
on your wedding day with a ceremony held 800 feet above the bright
lights of Vegas at The Chapel in the Clouds, located the Stratosphere
Hotel in the nation's tallest observation tower. Location:
The Chapel in the Clouds, voted the best wedding chapel
in Las Vegas by AOL Cityguide users in 2005, is located at the
top of the observation tower just outside of The Stratosphere
Hotel, which is found at the North end of the Strip. Wedding
Packages: In your lover's eyes you are the closest
thing to heaven, and what better place to devote your lives to
one another than in the proximity of that celestial site. As beautiful
as any cathedral ceiling, an expansive blue sky stretches overhead
as couples who choose the "Say "I Do" at the Top"
wedding package exchange vows on either the 108th or 109th floor
observation deck. (Nuptials can also be held in the indoor observation
deck.) The most budget-friendly of the hotel's six packages, the
bride and groom can tie the knot as a maximum of eight guests
look on. A congratulatory bottle of champagne is presented to
the newlyweds following the ceremony. Those wishing to wed
in the Garden Chapel can opt for the "Wedding The The Clouds"
package and enjoy 30 minutes inside the 300-square-foot room,
which is filled with the sound of traditional wedding music for
the ceremony. As the bride walks down the aisle she can hold on
to a three rose bouquet, which harmonizes with the single rose
boutonniere worn by the groom. The event is captured for posterity
in 12 4X6 photos, which can be displayed in a Stratosphere logo
wedding album. A bottle of Stratosphere champagne can be savored
by the newlyweds and up to 16 guests on the tower observation
deck. The services of a butler provide an extra touch of class
to the special day. Couples marrying in the Terrace Chapel have three wedding package options, with the aptly-named "Sky's The Limit" offering the most elaborate expression of love, beginning with floral finery for members of the wedding party, from boutonnieres for the groom and best man to a six-rose nosegay for the maid of honor and an 18-rose bouquet for the bride. During the one-hour allotment in the Terrace Chapel and observation decks, the bride and groom can enjoy a wedding ceremony which will be videotaped and presented to the newlyweds. At the reception,
up to 25 guests can sample slices of a two-tiered cake and drink
a champagne toast to the couple's happiness from glasses filled
by the newlywed's personal butler. A complimentary wedding album
can be filled with a total of 28 posed and candid photos, which
the couple will look through with fond memories after their two-night
stay in The Stratosphere Hotel's casino suite furnished with a
Jacuzzi. An Epicurean odyssey awaits the lovebirds at a complimentary
dinner for two at the Top of the World restaurant, while a serene
sanctuary can be found by using a gift certificate to the salon
and day spa. Theme
Weddings: If a wedding in Vegas just isn't complete
without an Elvis sighting, a King of Rock 'n' Roll can be provided
for an extra charge. Thrill seekers can take the plunge on the
big day by saying "I do" on the Big Shot. The
Chapels: The Vegas skyline makes a dramatic impression
as up to 100 guests are escorted into the 1,400-square-foot Terrace
Chapel to the rows of white, straight back chairs accented with
pink cushions which face the altar. As the bride makes her entrance,
she walks down a white aisle runner which mirrors the pristine
color of the bows fastened to each aisle chair. Doric columns
line the sides of the room, and reproductions of classic statuary
bear silent witness to the nuptials, which take place before an
illuminated mural painted in a style reminiscent of Maxfield Parrish.
For intimate ceremonies,
the Garden Terrace Chapel can accommodate up to 20 guests, who
watch as the couple pledge their love in a room painted a deep
forest green, which offset the pristine columns and statuary adorning
the site. Reception
Venues: Corinthian columns line the regal Renaissance
Room, which can accommodate up to 140 attendees, 60 for a sit-down
dinner. The Twilight Room, Sunrise Room and Horizon Room, all
on the 104th Floor, each offer 1,200 square feet for up to 140
guests, while lavish post-nuptial festivities can be held in the
Showroom, which has a capacity of 1,200 people. For more information:
