Chapel of the Bells, Las Vegas Like moths to a flame,
a bevy of Hollywood's lovestruck luminaries, including Mickey
Rooney, Leslie Nielsen and daytime star Kelly Ripa, have been
attracted to the neon bells which illuminate the facade of this
Vegas venue. Location:
The chapel is situated on the Strip in close proximity to both
the Sahara Hotel and the Stratosphere Hotel. What's
unique about this chapel:
In 2007 this Las Vegas landmark, which has appeared in such big
screen hits as "Honeymoon In Vegas" and "Indecent
Proposal," will celebrate a half century of uniting soulmates
in the bonds of matrimony. Wedding
Packages: Cost-conscious couples can request the "I
Do Service," which merely offers the use of the chapel and
covers the minister's fee, while for a few dollars more lovebirds
can choose among four wedding presentations, starting with the
wallet-friendly Package I, in which the couple is borne in a limousine
from their hotel to the courthouse for a marriage license, then
on to the chapel, where a carnation bouquet is given to the bride
before her walk down the aisle, which is videotaped for posterity.
Package IV is the venue's most lavish production, supplying a
cassette recording and video presentation of the ceremony. A cascading
bouquet of roses for the bride as well as floral finery for the
groom, maid of honor and best man, champagne to toast to the newlyweds
and a leather bound holder in which to display the marriage certificate
is also provided. For more information:
