Classes in Mexico
There's no better way to really
learn about Mexico than as a Spanish-speaking visitor. Whether you've
got a basic knowledge or don't know hola from adios, you'll find that
there are language classes to help you master Spanish on vacation. The
classes are customized to your budget and time schedule.
Where
can you take a language class?
Cuernavaca: The city
of Cuernavaca, known as the "City of Eternal Spring," has
long been known for its language classes. The city is located 50 miles
south of Mexico City and is the capital of the state of Morelos. When
you're not in class, the two of you will find yourselves surrounded
by plenty of history from prehispanic to colonial to modern times.

Merida: Yucatan travelers
may be familiar with Merida, which is near the Mayan ruins of Chichen-Itza
and Uxmal. This colonial city surrounds couples with history and day
trips to the beaches of Cancun and Playa del Carmen are an easy day
away.

Check out the
Instituto Benjamin Franklin de Yucatan for intensive Spanish courses.
Classes range in length from a week to a year and feature grammar
and conversation plus guided tours.
Guadalajara: The
capital city of the state of Jalisco (known for both its mariachis and
its tequilas) is another popular option for language schools.
