The town of Irving, sandwiched between Dallas and Fort Worth in North
Texas, has an exciting amount of attractions all its own. As a unique
introduction to the town, the famous Mustang sculpture, of nine bronze
mustangs galloping across a prairie stream, fills the plaza of Williams
Square. The Mustang Sculpture Exhibit in the West Tower of the square
offers an informative film about the creation of the signature sculpture.
GONDOLAS
Ah, the Gondolas of Irving! One of the world's most enduring romantic
symbols have a home on the Mandalay Canal and Lake Carolyn in the heart
of Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. Gondola Adventures offer romance any

side of Venice.
 Gondola

According to Venetian legend, gondolas were created when a crescent moon

a single oarsman, with a single 12- 13 foot long oar, only 20 feet of
the length of the boat is at or below the water line.
Irving's gondola was constructed in Venice about five years ago. All gondola's
are black and of similar shape, size and ornamentation, due to an official
decree from the Republic of Venice in 1633.
Tradition dictates that couple "kiss under every bridge" and
with 12 bridges interspersed throughout the waterway, the Mandalay Canals
offer a substantial amount of kissing opportunities.
