These days, all you have to do is pick up a newspaper or turn on the TV and the worries begin. Endless security concerns can make even the most dedicated traveler a little anxious.

As travelers who head off in search of romantic destinations once a month, people often ask us "aren't you worried?" Sure we're worried.

But we're also worried about the dangers of driving the interstate highways--but we don't let that stop us from hopping in the car. We do what we want to do on a daily basis and that same attitude continues when it comes to our travels, which are usually international.

Just as you take certain precautions with your car travel (you always make sure to change the oil, pay the insurance premiums, and check the tires), you can also take precautions traveling overseas. All it takes is a little pre-trip preparation.
