Television Wedding Nuptials Send Love Outdoors This Wedding Season
Reality Television Bride Trista (Rehn) Sutter Offers her Tips
for Getting Hitched Without a Hitch
Considering an outdoor
wedding this summer? You very well may have watched the wedding
of The Bachelorette on TV. Trista , formerly "The Bachelorette",
gives you her tips for an outdoor wedding in this press release
from Pfizer.
PRNewswire -- Love
is in the air this Spring and Summer, literally, as more and more
couples are planning outdoor weddings. With high-profile nuptials
such as the wedding of Trista Sutter (formerly Trista Rehn) to
her reality television sweetie Ryan Sutter taking place under
a gazebo overlooking the Coachella Valley in a televised ceremony
in Palm Springs, it is no wonder that today, the popularity of
hosting an outdoor wedding is on the rise.
While beautiful outdoor events like Trista's and Ryan's wedding
may be a dream come true, many people don't realize all of the
variables -- from rain and wind to pollen counts -- that couples
have to prepare for when they decide to have an outside ceremony
or reception.
Trista offers the following advice to couples that are planning
an outdoor wedding so they can get hitched without a hitch at
a fairytale ceremony.
Sneeze alert. "If you suffer from seasonal allergies
like me, you don't want symptoms such as sneezing and itchy, watery
eyes to flare up as you walk down the aisle," explains Trista.
"Make sure you have an effective allergy medication with
you, such as Benadryl Allergy, which is what I take to relieve
my worst allergy symptoms." Trista also suggests that couples
check out dates for peak allergy season in the location where
the wedding is planned and try to schedule around it, or at least
consider hosting the ceremony in the afternoon or evening when
pollen counts aren't as high. For pollen counts in your area and
tips on treating seasonal allergy symptoms, visit http://www.benadrylusa.com.
Prepare your guests. Outdoor weddings can bring soggy grounds,
hot sun or cool nights. Let your guests know in advance what to
bring so they are comfortable throughout your ceremony.
Don't "bug" out. Consider using citronella candles
or bug zappers so your guests won't be swatting the air during
your ceremony.
Consider rain and shine. Before the event, visit the site
at the same time of day as your ceremony to ensure your guests
won't be blinded by the sun or uncomfortable from the heat. And
do have a back-up plan if it rains.
Don't get blown away. Check out the weather forecast and work
with the location's event planner to prepare for the worst. Batten
down the tablecloths to avoid flying debris.
Toast to taste. Stick to a menu that won't melt or spoil in
the sun. Make sure there are non-alcoholic beverages available
to quench people's thirst.
Adorn with decorations. A plus to having your wedding outdoors
is the beauty of nature. Check in advance to see if the grass
is mowed, trees are pruned and flowers are blooming. Add your
own personal touch with a beautiful wedding arc as the focal point
for your ceremony.
"Your wedding is the most exciting and personal celebration
of your life, so don't let stress set in or panic take over,"
says Trista. "Plan ahead, pay attention to details and remember
that Mother Nature is beautiful but unpredictable, so work around
it and have a back-up plan. It will help make your outdoor wedding
a memorable and fun occasion for all!"
