Film Star Sandra Bullock Makes Wedding Extra Special
at The Venetian
LAS VEGAS, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- A bride and groom not only got
the royal treatment, but Hollywood treatment as well, during their
wedding at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. As the Scranton,
Pennsylvania couple walked from the chapel to their reception,
they walked through the set of the feature film Miss Congeniality
2, starring Sandra Bullock.
After Diane and Ed
Grambo took their vows they walked through the lavish lobby where
the film was shooting. The cast and crew stopped production and
gave the newlyweds a rousing round of applause. Miss Congeniality
herself, Sandra Bullock, gave the bride a big hug and joked with
the groom about buying his bride plenty of jewelry. The whole
exciting event was caught on tape by the wedding videographer.
The happy bride beamed, "Now we have a movie star in our
wedding to remember all our lives. Only at The Venetian is this
possible! This has been a great experience. The Venetian and Sandra
Bullock have made it an even more special day!"
Miss Congeniality 2 catches up with FBI agent Gracie Hart (Sandra
Bullock) shortly after she successfully disarmed a threat against
the Miss United States Pageant while working undercover as a contestant
in Miss Congeniality. Having become a media celebrity following
her heroic pageant exploits, Gracie has been spending more time
lately at the salon than the shooting range, working the talk
show circuit and promoting her book. When her friends, pageant
winner Cheryl and emcee Stan, are kidnapped in Las Vegas, Gracie's
all-out efforts to jump back into action to save them puts her
at loggerheads with the FBI top brass who don't want to risk losing
their mascot and fear she might not be up to the job anymore.
The sequel to the 2000 worldwide hit comedy Miss Congeniality
is directed by John Pasquin from a script by Marc Lawrence, and
also stars Regina King, Enrique Murciano, William Shatner, Ernie
Hudson Diedrich Bader, Heather Burns and Treat Williams. Miss
Congeniality 2 is produced by Sandra Bullock and Marc Lawrence,
and co-produced by Gesine Bullock-Prado, with Mary McLaglen and
Bruce Berman serving as executive producers. The film is scheduled
for worldwide release in spring 2005 by Warner Bros. Pictures,
and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.
Much of the film is set on location at The Venetian. The Venetian
Resort-Hotel-Casino, a recipient of the Exxon/Mobile Four Star
Award and AAA's Four Diamond Award, is one of the world's most
luxurious resort and convention destinations. Re-creating Venice's
legendary landmarks, the resort offers unmatched service and quality
for leisure and corporate guests. Located in the heart of the
Las Vegas Strip, The Venetian features The Grand Canal Shoppes,
an indoor streetscape complete with gondolas and singing gondoliers,
the Canyon Ranch SpaClub, world-class gaming, exquisite restaurants,
the Guggenheim-Hermitage Museum, and a wide variety of entertainment
venues on its premises, as well as extensive convention and corporate
services.
