Manzanillo's Most Romantic Resorts In the Manzanillo area, couples can opt for everything from small, ultra-exclusive resorts to sprawling all-inclusives.

Las Hadas Golf and Resort (888-559-4329, www.brisas.com.mx) is located at the north end of the city; the all-suites property offers golf, tennis, fine dining, and more. This hotel, with its white Moorish look, great beaches, and fine dining, is the best known within the city and the site where the movie "10" was filmed.

Next door, Kármina Palace Golf and Spa Resort (877-KARMINA , www.karminapalace.com/English/) is a luxury all-inclusive property. A Mayan decor fills the expansive public areas of the all-suites resort.

Less expensive, the four-star Club Maeva Manzanillo (866-411-7070) is an expansive all-inclusive that’s especially popular with families. If you’re considering a "familymoon" to blend your new families or if you’re bringing the kids along but would still like to enjoy a little quality time for just the two of you, this is the place. The resort offers a 30,000-square-foot kids’ club for ages 2-12. This resort requires a walk via a pedestrian bridge across the road to the beach.

A half hour north of Manzanillo the five-star Grand Bay Hotel Isla Navidad Resort (888-WYNDHAM, www.wyndhamluxuryresorts.com) is one of the region’s largest. Set on a 1200-acre peninsula, the resort features three pools, a private beach, grass tennis courts, golf, a marina, fine dining, and a spa.

For couples looking for an exclusive getaway, El Tamarindo (888-433-3989, www.luxurycollection.com) fits the bill. Romantics find cottages with open-air living rooms; golfers test their skills on a championship course.
