  Getting To Manzanillo, Getting Around
Arrival into Manzanillo’s Playa de Oro Airport recently became easier with the addition of non-stop Continental service from Houston; the three-times weekly service is during high season (winter, spring). Aerocalifornia and Alaska Airlines also offer nonstop service from Los Angeles, and America West provides service from Phoenix.

You’ll also find connecting flights through Mexico City and Guadalajara.

Once you arrive at the airport, you’ll be 26 miles from the city. There are taxis and vans to transport you to the hotel district but, if you’ll be arriving at night, make sure you’ve prearranged your transfer. Taxi service is not as frequent during the evening hours.

When Should We Go?

The peak season runs from October through April; the most expensive weeks during that period are the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Rates drop starting May 1.

What’s the Weather Like?

Plan on warm days year around, with temperatures in the 80-90 degree F range most of the year.

What Should We Pack?

Think "S" for your packing needs: swimsuits, sunscreen, shorts, sundresses. Days are casual here; you’ll be comfortable in t-shirts and shorts. During the evening, sundresses, capri pants, or khakis would work just fine. Manzanillo doesn’t have the discos of Acapulco but this is Mexico and it is a romantic vacation so toss in a little slinky dress while you’re at it!
