  Manzanillo Beaches

You want beaches, Manzanillo’s got beaches! Quiet ones, busy ones, calm water, rolling surfing water...it’s your choice.

Here’s a selection of some of the best:

Playa La Audiencia: Remember Bo Derek’s sexy jog down a beach in the 1979 movie "10"? (You may not remember it…if your guy was old enough to see the R-rated movie at the time, he'll remember it.) Well, that beach was La Audiencia, a beautiful stretch of sand located at Hotel Sierra, next door to Las Hadas (where the movie was set.) The beach has a whole menu of watersports for the two of you enjoy: jet skiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, you name it.

Playa Las Hadas: This beach, located at Las Hadas Resort, is calm, perfect for a lazy afternoon float together. The beach stretches all the way over to Karmina Palace, too.

Playa Azul: This golden sand stretches for five miles and is lined with hotels and restaurants.

Olas Altas: Ready to hang ten? The rolling surf off this beach make it popular with surfers and boogie boarders.

Playa de Oro: Appropriately named gold beach, this stretch is located near the airport. The sand’s not the only thing golden here, though; in 1862 the Golden Gate shipwreck took place here, sending over $1 million in gold into the sea!
