Jean-Jacques
Goldman

BIOGRAPHY
The quintessential Parisian, singer/songwriter Jean-Jacques Goldman
paints portraits of emotions using a palette of words and melodies.
Born and raised in a quiet suburb of the City of Lights, the melancholy
strains of the violin and tinkling of the piano he played as a
child could often be heard drifting from the Goldman house out
onto the street.
The lure of soul music
at age sixteen prompted Jean-Jacques to add a guitar to his menagerie
of instruments, and his musical proficiency would prove to serve
him well in his career, first with the group Tai Phong, which
released two albums before disbanding in 1980, and later as a
solo act. His profound lyrics have touched hearts through his
own singing as well as through interpretations by such performers
as Johnny Hallyday, (who is often referred to as the French Elvis),
and Canadian diva Celine Dion.
Although Jean-Jacques Goldman has attained legendary status in
his homeland, this reclusive star prefers to let his music speak
for him, and to this day leads a quiet life in Paris's residential
area, far from the unblinking gaze of the media.

EN PASSANT
Let Jean-Jacques Goldman be your guide as you travel on a flight
of fancy to the City of Lights. The language of love has never
sounded more seductive than in such songs as "On Ira"
and the sentimental "Quand Tu Danses."
