If the Plane's a' Rockin'...
Sexy Charters Offer Frisky Couples A Safer Alternative

Hundreds of couples seeking their thrills in the lavatory of the late night "red eye" are caught in the act each year by flight attendants. It seems that creating your own "in-flight" turbulence thousands of feet above the earth is a rising phenomenon.

According to a Prevention Magazine poll of 2,854 people, 53 percent said, "Yes" when asked, "Do you support accommodations for 'in-flight' sex?" Although this does not mean that Delta, American, or Northwest airlines have started yanking out the chairs and putting beds in the isles, it does suggest that the majority of people flying have the same thing on their minds.

If caught having sex on commercial airlines, there's not only the possibility of embarrassment, but couples could face criminal charges of indecent exposure, and could be banned by that airline from future travel. The Wall Street Journal reports, "Commercial airlines are worried about a sharp increase in overt and disruptive sexual activity by passengers." (Source: Dr. David Schnarch, June 10, 2001)

Adults Only Travel Whether you're in search of a hedonistic getaway or a romantic weekend on a secluded island, this guide will point you in the right direction. Sections include erotic events, intimate inns, romantic resorts, and even nude cruises.

Since most commercial carriers frown on joining the "Mile High Club," special charter companies have stepped in to offer flights with privacy for these adventurous thrill seekers. Most of these charter companies run small, one or two plane operations, and will happily host your "romp in the sky". Some amenities they provide include comfortable couches or queen size beds to make the experience more pleasurable, gourmet meals prepared by your own personal chef, as well as flower arrangements or gift baskets, with champagne and choice of "toys." Many offer to make the experience more memorable by filming it and providing you with the video for future reference (how's that for personal service!).

According to Lou James, co-author of "Adults Only Travel - The Ultimate Guide to Romantic and Erotic Destinations", Lawrence Sperry is said to be the man who founded the "Mile High Club" in 1916 by offering flight lessons to married women. One thing led to another and the phrase, "pull back on the yoke," has never meant the same thing again!

The fees for small charter companies who offer these services vary depending on the carrier, but generally run from about $599 per flight, to $1000 per couple, per hour, not including any extras. Flight arrangements can be made to take you to almost any airport in the world, making this a perfect way for newlyweds to begin a honeymoon to remember, or for the adventurous couple who's simply looking to bring their relationship to new heights (no pun intended)!

While most commercial airlines have not yet announced that they will be rushing to offer these thrill seekers the opportunity, some carriers are making accommodations. Prevention Magazine reported that Richard Branson, Chairman of Virgin Atlantic Airways, hopes to "satisfy" everyone! On certain Trans-Atlantic flights, he is willing to accommodate the frisky passengers by providing sleeping quarters complete with hot tubs. "You can 'do it' on cruise ships and trains...why not on planes?", he told the Wall Street Journal.

For those who wish to "earn their wings" so to speak, there are five regional private charter lines that offer this service.
