Travel Like Joe -- And Jill -- Millionaire

You've watched the show. You've dreamed of being transported to a French chateau owned by a millionaire to be wined and dined, romanced and courted, all in an elegant style you'll remember forever.

This TV fantasy can be a reality -- and for far less money than you might think. Fox's hit show, Joe Millionaire, is filmed at France's Chateau de la Bourdaisiere. A room in this fairy tale setting, a chateau turned historic hotel, can be yours for as little as US$120 per night.

Chateau de la Bourdaisiere is located in the romantic Loire Valley, an easy hop by high speed train from Paris, perfect as a country getaway after a few days in the French capital.

The Chateau is filled with romance, even down to its royal history. The 17-room hotel was built in the 16th century for the mistress of King François I. Today the home is filled with period antiques capturing the passion of that period. The most notable accommodation is the Gabrielle d’Estrees room; this was the room of the king's mistress and here the two of you can write your own chapter of royal romance.

Today the hotel continues to hold a link to its royal heritage. During your stay, you might see the chateau's owners: brothers Prince Philippe Maurice and Prince Louis Albert.

Days here are easy to fill with romance. Enjoy a leisurely horseback ride among the grounds, take a dip in the heated swimming pool, stroll the 135 acres or just sip a glass of fine French wine.
