A HAWAIIAN WEDDING AT THE ICE HOTEL

(Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier, Quebec, Saturday February 2, 2002).
A special wedding was celebrated today at the Ice Hotel Quebec-Canada. It was the first of many white weddings this season.

The newly wedded, Ryan Morita and Cindy Lee, chose winter exoticism to celebrate their union. Ryan, originally from Hawaii and Cindy, from Guam met 4 years ago in Hawaii. Both graduated from Columbia University in New York City and worked in a community service project at the Institute for Human Services.

Since meeting each other, these 2 grand travellers are continually searching new adventures. It was this desire for adventure that brought them to the unique Ice Hotel. Ryan and Cindy wanted to experiment a night in the Ice Hotel and what a surprise to learn that this year the Hotel would have a wedding chapel, the year they planned to get married. The ICEing on the cake was that it was possible to celebrate their union the 2-02-2002 at 2:02 pm !

In accordance with tradition, our happy couple tasted champagne in a glass made of ice with their family and friends and the Reverend Louis Lafrance.

To Cindy and Ryan, as well as to their family and friends, who proved they were not afraid of the coolest chapel, the Ice Hotel wishs them many joyful and prosperous years to come.
