Runaway Bay Area All-Inclusive Resorts

Breezes Runaway Bay

This all-inclusive was one of our first stops in Jamaica, at the time a resort known as Jamaica-Jamaica. The property, still part of the SuperClubs chain, has seen many renovations since that time but it still is one of the most popular resorts on the island for those looking for a diversity of sports activities. Guests here enjoy use of a golf course and school right across the road as well as tennis, horseback riding, windsurfing (with a Mistral school on property), and more. Rooms have a tropical decor and the grounds are always, as with all SuperClubs, immaculate.

Grand Lido Braco Resort & Spa
Part of the SuperClubs chain, this elegant, upscale resort was built with the purpose of recreating a Jamaican village. Here you'll find everyone from the peanut man offering fresh roasted peanuts to the jerk cook to the woodcarver. The resort is built around a town square with cafes, art stores, and a friendly feel. It's no substitute for getting out and experiencing a real Jamaican village but for first-timers, it can be an educational and fun way to learn more about this fascinating island. Guests also have a full array of all-inclusive diversions: tennis, soccer, golf, beaches, watersports, and more. Only adults are accepted as guests.

Hedonism III
Hedonism III. Like its more spartan cousin in Negril, Hedonism is an adults-only hotel for travelers looking for "unsubdued" fun that includes a circus clinic and waterslide (through the disco, no less). Unlike its Negril equivalent, however, Hedonism III offers luxurious rooms and Jamaica's first swim-up rooms. The guest rooms, each with mirrored ceilings, have Jacuzzi tubs and CD players. The beach is divided into "nude" and "prude" sides, although a quick look shows that most people leave the suits at home. Scheduled activities include nude body painting and volleyball--they even hold Jamaica's only nude weddings.
